Do I Need To Use A Trustee In Bankruptcy?
In Ontario, only a Trustee in Bankruptcy can accept a personal bankruptcy filing or administer a proposal to your creditors. We are licensed and regulated by the Superintendent of Bankruptcy, and therefore we are licensed by the federal government of Canada.
There are only approximately 1,000 licensed trustees in bankruptcy in all of Canada, and less than half of them regularly deal with individuals in financial trouble.
